This session will address law firm compliance obligations under the “Red Flags Rule”. 

Michael Benoit advises banks, sales finance companies, mortgage lenders and other creditors and technology providers on a wide range of consumer financial services regulation, including the Truth In Lending Act, the Equal Credit Opportunity Act, the Fair Credit Reporting Act and the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, among others.  In addition, he works with clients and trade associations to address legislative issues involving financial services regulatory matters. Mr. Benoit is a frequent speaker and author on a variety of consumer financial services law topics.  His articles have appeared in the ABA’s Business Law Journal and the MBA’s Mortgage Banker Magazine, and he writes monthly columns for several trade publications.
