October 2008 ALA Maryland Chapter Community Challenge Events

 

2008 ALA MD CHAPTER COMMUNITY CHALLANGE

 IT IS THAT TIME OF YEAR AGAIN. CALLING ALL VOLUNTEERS!

 
We have two projects again this year as follows:
 
PART I

PAUL’S PLACE DONATIONS
October 1 -10, 2008
Pick-up by Professional Movers on Monday, October 13, 2008
 
The 2008 Community Challenge Committee will be working with Paul's Place by collecting the following items:
 

Laundry Service:   Laundry Detergent (Powder Only), Ziploc Bags (Sandwich size), Dryer Sheets

Shower Service:    Tooth Brush, Brush/Comb, Razors (Blue Preferred), Bars of Soap, Wash Cloths, Towels

Travel Size:         Shampoo, Conditioner, Deodorant, Toothpast, Shaving Cream, Body Wash

We are also collecting gently used MEN’S casual clothing and shoes.

 PART II 

HABITAT FOR HUMANITY
October 11, 2008 (8:45-4:30)
 
The Community Challenge Committee is looking for 30 volunteers to spend a day together working on a project that helps bring high quality, affordable homes to low-income families in the West Baltimore area.
