In December 2006, the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure were overhauled to include three new rules that clearly impact the way businesses, including law firms, meet discovery requests and manage their client record collections. With the majority of a law firm's client data residing in its electronic systems, it is imperative that law firms design and implement rational and transparent retention and disposition strategies that contain enforceable litigation hold provisions. Steven Krementz and Steven Behrendt will lead a discussion on what law firms are doing to meet the e-discovery challenge using records management as their framework to manage their client data.
