ALA Essential Competencies for Legal Adminstrators

In 1995, and updated in 2000, ALA completed an extensive research project, a job analysis (role delineation) of legal administration, investigating the job tasks of legal administrators. In addition, the study identified the competencies these individuals need to perform the job successfully. View a full listing of job tasks, a full listing of knowledges or competencies and a description of survey results.
