Maryland Chapter
The Maryland Chapter has grown steadily over the past 25 years to its current size of approximately 70 members. Over forty law firms participate in the local Chapter, with virtually all of Maryland's top firms, large and small, represented. Additionally, there are members who administer the legal departments of a number of large local corporations in the fields of insurance, banking, investing and real estate, as well as the Maryland State Bar. The Chapter provides a dynamic force within the community for the support of its members, as well as strong representation at ALA's regional and national levels.
Your membership in the Maryland Chapter will open the door to a variety of professional activities and other benefits, providing you with the opportunity to work with other members of your profession in the legal industry.
In order to become a member of the ALA Maryland Chapter, you must first become a member of National ALA. If you are interested in becoming a member, visit the Membership section of the ALA website for more information. Once you have become a member of the National ALA you may apply for membership in the ALA Maryland Chapter. Dues for Chapter membership are $200 per year, which includes monthly luncheon costs. Print and complete a copy of the Maryland Chapter Application Form and remit with your check to the address indicated on the application form. To change your contact information with ALA Headquarters, please complete the online address change form on the ALA website. You can also renew your National ALA dues by completing the online dues renewal process.
